Commercial aviation is hitting a new milestone: the launch of the longest direct flight in the world.
Starting December 4, 2025, China Eastern will connect Shanghai to Buenos Aires with a 29-hour, 12,200-mile journey. It will be the first direct air link between China and Argentina, and the only nonstop option between Shanghai and South America.
