When I was a little kid home from school on a sick day, I'd watch The Price is Right and dream of one day winning a fully paid trip to a tropical destination, like a contestant on the beloved game show.

Now, as an adult lucky enough to travel frequently for work, my idea of a dream vacation has shifted a little (though an all-expenses-paid beach trip still sounds nice). So this year, the Matador Network editorial team decided to write not about the trips we've taken, but instead, about our dream vacations — where we'd go if time, money, and logistics weren't concerns.

From an Egyptologist-led trip through ancient cities to a helicopter-in natural hot springs resort and a city with one of the highest concentrations of Michelin stars anywhere in the world, here's where our editorial team would go if just about anything was possible (and if we won the lottery, of course).
