United's New Flight Brings K-Pop Culture One Step Closer
United Airlines may currently list fourth among US carriers by total annual seats, but it’s making big moves to rank higher. The airline just announced a series of new international routes launching in May 2026, including nonstop flights to brand-new destinations: Split, Croatia; Bari, Italy; Glasgow, Scotland; and Santiago de Compostela, Spain.
But the real headline is a new direct route from Newark to Seoul, South Korea, a hot spot for K-pop fans, spa enthusiasts, and culture seekers. The flight will make United the only US airline offering a nonstop route between New York City and Seoul, eliminating the need for West Coast connections entirely.
